Cape Cod Treasure Hunt Promotion
No purchase necessary.
How to enter: Promotion begins at 12:00 AM EST on May 3, 2007, and ends at 11:59 PM EST on May 3, 2008. You can participate via the Internet at www.capecodchips.com by clicking on "Treasure Hunt." This Promotion involves answering correctly four multiple-choice questions, with four possible answer choices each. If you choose the correct answer, a screen will pop up congratulating you on your correct answer and allowing you to continue until you have answered four questions in a row correctly. If you choose an incorrect answer, you will have the opportunity to try again. Once you have correctly answered four questions in a row, you will be invited to Click to Enter for a chance to win Cape Cod gear. Upon clicking the link, you will be asked to submit the following personal information: your first name, last name, mailing address, age and e-mail address. If you submit all of the required information, you will be eligible for a chance to win a Cape Cod gear prize. If you do not submit all of the required information, you will not be eligible to win a prize and you will be deemed not to have entered the promotion.
You can be any age to try to answer the questions, but you must be at least 13 years old to enter the portion of the promotion that gives you a chance to win a prize. In the event that the Sponsor determines that you were younger than 13 years of age at the time that you entered the contest, you will be disqualified and your entry and the record of your personal information will be destroyed.
Limit one entry per e-mail address per day. The Sponsor reserves the right to void multiple entries. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify, and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, any person who tampers with, or intentionally infects with a virus, any of the networks, servers, or computers that are used in the Promotion. The Sponsor is not responsible for failed or unavailable hardware, network, software, or telephone transmission or for technical failures; damage to any entrant's or any person's computer and/or its contents; or causes beyond the Sponsor's control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.
Each month, five (5) winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries, to be held on or about the last day of the month (except that the drawing for the last month will be held on or about May 4, 2008), by an independent judging firm whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Promotion. The thirty (30) winners for the first six months (May through October) (5 per month for 6 months) will receive a Cape Cod T-shirt or Cape Cod hat-determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Approximate retail value ("ARV") of each prize is $15. The thirty (30) winners for the second six (6) months (November through April) (5 per month for 6 months) will receive a discount code worth 5% toward the purchase of in-stock merchandise from the online Cape Cod store at www.capecodchips.com. Approximate retail value ("ARV") of each prize is 5%. Total value of all prizes during the promotion is $900.00. Winners will be notified by e-mail within a week of the drawing. Prizes may not be transferred or substituted, except the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater retail value. In the event of a dispute over the identity of the winner, the prize will be awarded to the owner of the e-mail account used in the entry form.
Federal, state and local taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. All prizes will be awarded. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
You will be required to respond to the prize verification e-mail you receive in order for the Sponsor to validate your e-mail address and validate you as an official winner. You have Five (5) days from time of receipt to respond. If you do not respond within Five (5) days, your prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate. Allow six to eight weeks for shipment of prizes to the address provided in your entry. This Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years old or older. Employees and agents, including family and members of their household, of Sponsor and any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors involved with Promotion and agents are ineligible. This Promotion is void where prohibited.
By entering, you agree to release Cape Cod Potato Chip Company, Inc. and the contest promoter and their officers, directors, employees, agents, parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries from liability of any kind or nature or for any loss, claims, damages, or injuries of any kind associated with participation in this Promotion or acceptance or use of any prize. Except where prohibited, winners consent to the use of their names, biographical information and/or likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without notice or further compensation. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, human error or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and to select winners from among the eligible entries received prior to such failure.
